Terms of Service

RoamMeo is an Australian local business discovery platform that connects consumers with nearby mobile and local businesses. The Platform allows vendors to broadcast their location and profile, and allows consumers to discover those businesses in real time.

RoamMeo is not a party to any transaction between consumers and vendors. We do not supply, perform, or guarantee any product or service listed on the Platform.

• Vendors are independent businesses. They are not employees, contractors, or agents of RoamMeo.
• Vendors are solely responsible for holding all licences, permits, registrations, and insurance required to operate their business and deliver their services lawfully.
• ABN verification confirms that an ABN is registered with the Australian Business Register only. It does not confirm the quality, safety, suitability, or trustworthiness of any vendor or their services.
• RoamMeo does not endorse, recommend, or warrant any vendor listed on the Platform.
• Vendors must not upload false, misleading, or deceptive content. Vendors are solely liable for the accuracy of their profile, pricing, and service descriptions.
• RoamMeo reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any vendor account at its sole discretion, without notice, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or for any operational reason.
• Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, including the Australian Consumer Law, when conducting business through or off the Platform.

• Consumers use the Platform to discover businesses. Any decision to engage a vendor is made entirely at the consumer's own risk.
• RoamMeo is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any product or service offered by a vendor.
• RoamMeo is not liable for personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or any other harm resulting from a consumer engaging with, or receiving a service from, a vendor discovered through the Platform.
• Before engaging a vendor for trades, medical, legal, financial, or other professional services, consumers should independently verify the vendor's credentials, licences, and insurance coverage.
• Consumers must not use the Platform to harass, threaten, or engage in fraudulent conduct toward any vendor or other user.

• RoamMeo does not process or facilitate payments between consumers and vendors. All payment arrangements are made directly between the consumer and the vendor.
• Subscription fees paid to RoamMeo are for access to Platform features only. These fees are not refundable except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
• Vendors are solely responsible for their own GST obligations, invoicing, and tax compliance in relation to services they provide to consumers.
• Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

• Photos, descriptions, logos, and other content uploaded by vendors remain the intellectual property of those vendors.
• By uploading content to RoamMeo, vendors grant RoamMeo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform and in promotional materials.
• RoamMeo's brand name, logo, platform design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of RoamMeo and may not be reproduced without written consent.
• You must not upload content that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights or that is unlawful, defamatory, or offensive.

• Location data is collected solely to provide search and discovery results on the Platform.
• Vendor live-pin location data is voluntarily shared by the vendor when they activate their pin. Vendors may deactivate their pin at any time.
• Consumer location is used only during an active search session to return nearby results and is not stored beyond that session.
• Location data is not sold, licensed, or shared with third parties for advertising or any purpose other than providing the Platform's core functionality.

• To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, RoamMeo's total aggregate liability to any user arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to the total amount paid by that user to RoamMeo in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
• RoamMeo is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law to the extent that it cannot lawfully be excluded.

• Disputes arising between consumers and vendors are the sole responsibility of those parties. RoamMeo is not a party to those disputes.
• RoamMeo may, at its sole discretion and without obligation, assist in facilitating communication between disputing parties, but is under no obligation to do so and any such assistance does not constitute legal liability.
• These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

• RoamMeo reserves the right to update or replace these Terms at any time. We will endeavour to notify registered users of material changes.
• Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must cease using the Platform.
